Mr. Armstrong stated this: "Actually the Worldwide Church of God is a spiritual organism, created by GOD — not a legal corporate organization created by this world's laws."

The Support Services
Herbert W Armstrong stated: "We have here the Church, an organized spiritual organism but unincorporated. Now this is not the corporation, or the corporation sole. This is just the Church as God has organized it. As for The Worldwide Church of God, Inc, a California Corporation, do you realize that most of you are not members of that corporation at all? The members are the officers that sign the corporation papers."
Further he added: "Anyway, the unincorporated Church is, in a sense, the Great Commission going to the world and the ministry of feeding the flock. Now we come to the incorporated area on earth — the various support services and corporation entities here on this chart. The support entities that are incorporated include Worldwide Church of God, Incorporated, a California Corporation. We haven't dissolved that yet. Also The Corporation Sole, which is a new corporation, and Ambassdor College, which is incorporated under the laws of California and the AICF, which is a corporation."

Coming Out of Confusion
Some may say the Worldwide Church of God, is a just a name; a human organization and corporate entity.
That is the opposite of what Herbert W Armstrong taught, and what the Bible teaches about THE CHURCH.
Some may say, since the corporate entities that filled the list of "support services" under Mr. Armstrong, is no more, they assume the CHURCH is no more. They are confused. They think it is required to have a human corporation, to be a CHURCH. This is an error.
Jesus Christ has a promise that is SURE, and cannot be broken.
(Matthew 16:18)
The Worldwide Church of God continues to exist, as God readies the membership.
How Church Receives Teachings
Mr. Armstrong states: "the laity of the Church received their teaching and instruction from the apostles."

He also stated: "But what of the separated individual believer, who tries to GET his salvation all by himself or by following some MAN or any of hundreds of professing Christian denominations of our day? He is CUT OFF from that TRUE teaching, which Christ reveals to and through His apostle!"

To BIND on Earth What Is BOUND in Heaven
Mr. Armstrong stated: "There has been much discussion at Pasadena between certain ministers of lower than Apostle rank, as to the CHURCH binding and loosing. So now let it be MADE OFFICIAL — by Christ's present-day Apostle — that this binding and loosing PLAINLY, CLEARLY, was given to Christ's chief APOSTLE — not to lower-rank ministers ordained by his authority — not by the CHURCH as a body — but by the APOSTLE!"

The CHURCH is in complete HARMONY
"What if one in the Church disagrees on some point of doctrine? Then he is out of harmony with God's Church. And GOD HAS ONLY THE ONE CHURCH. "And all in the Church are commanded to speak the same thing — and it must be what CHRIST, either in person or by written Word, has taught His apostle. "To the church at Corinth, the apostle Paul wrote: "Now I beseech you brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing". (I Corinthians 1:10) Some of them wanted to follow Peter, some wanted to follow Apollos, some Paul. But PAUL was their apostle and Christ taught them by PAUL.
"The separated individual believer will follow his own idea of God's truth. THAT IS NOT GOD'S WAY. "God in His almighty wisdom, has raised up the CHURCH, as HIS MEANS of teaching all the SAME TRUTH — all speaking the SAME THING! Not each individual his own thing!
"God raised up the CHURCH, not only that its apostles and evangelists go into all the world announcing the GOOD NEWS of the coming Kingdom of God, but also as the very means for the general body of lay members to develop God's own holy righteous CHARACTER — by means of GIVING — giving their continuous prayers for the apostle, giving their encouragement, tithes and offerings.
"WHAT then, of the person who follows after a man outside the Church or tries to GET his salvation simply by GETTING and not GIVING that which members are to give to the Church's Work? Consider Jesus' parable of the pounds in Luke 19. The pound is the British unit of money. Jesus illustrated Himself giving each member, on conversion, one pound — representing the Holy Spirit given at conversion. But the Christian MUST GROW in grace and Christ's knowledge. As he does, by GIVING in the Church, he receives an increasing amount of God's Spirit. The isolated, separated member will probably LOSE OUT (see Luke 19:20-24)."

CALLED TO BE A TEAM
"The person who says "I will get my salvation alone, outside of the Church" is totally deceived. This is not the time when salvation is opened to those in Satan's world. Those called now, I repeat emphatically, are NOT CALLED just for salvation. They are called for a special training provided only in God's Church.
"Those in Satan's world cannot train themselves outside of the Church for the special calling of being rulers and teachers in God's kingdom when Satan is removed and the world has become God's world.
"The Church is ORGANIZED on GOD'S pattern of mutual teamwork and cooperation to function perfectly together. They shall become the GOD FAMILY as it shall exist at the time of Christ's Second Coming. Remember God IS that divine family!
"Take an analogy from Satan's world. A football player says: "I want to play in all of the games, but I'll train alone. I don't want to be part of the TEAM until the games start." Would the coach let him be part of the team in the games, without having learned TEAMWORK during practice season? Neither will God let one INTO his family at the resurrection who refused to be part of it now — in the CHURCH — in the spiritual "training season."
"To those chosen to be apostles in the start of the CHURCH, Jesus said, speaking of the CHURCH: "I am the vine, ye are the branches." Those not joined with others of the branches, all joined to the main vine, were NO PART OF THE CHURCH, and God the Father will cast them away as DEAD branches. The LIFE (spirit life impregnated now) is received along with all other "branches" from the main vine — Christ, the Head of the CHURCH!
"What about one who has been IN Christ's "spiritual BODY" — the Church — and is PUT OUT for cause (causing division or rebellion or opposition to Church government)? The CHURCH is like a human mother who is pregnant. If there is an abortion, the HUMAN LIFE departs totally from the fetus. There is, however, perhaps one difference in this analogy. A human who goes out, or is put out of God's Church, could, on repentance and renewed belief, be admitted back into the body again."

Unless the Lord Shall Build The House
Herbert W Armstrong writes: "Now churches or works OF THEIR OWN have been started. But they overlook one thing: “EXCEPT THE LORD BUILD THE HOUSE THEY LABOR IN VAIN THAT BUILD IT.” God is NOT raising up and building a “house” based on resentment, bitterness and strife — on attempt to DESTROY what GOD has built and build something for SELF — on attempt to DESTROY the Worldwide Church of God by their false witness and false accusation of wrong-doing in God’s Church, bringing about the massive lawsuit by America’s largest state to try to take over and DESTROY the Church of the living GOD! — and to build for THEMSELVES by “siphoning off” to their own work the members of the Worldwide Church of GOD!
"No, this, like several other little tiny offshoots of embittered, angered, revenge-seeking disfellowshipped former members, MUST COME TO NAUGHT! GOD is not building their houses!"

Allow me to introduce myself
My name is Samuel W Kitchen.
I am 34 years old, and I live in Keosauqua, Iowa.
I am a third-generation member of the Worldwide Church of God.
I am in contact with brethren online, from all around the world and we meet together as often as we can.
Online, in the "member's area" of this website, I share the messages and hymns we sing each week on God's Sabbath, to assist other brethren who are also shut-ins like we are.
Since there is no "resident" minister available locally, we listen to Mr. Herbert W Armstrong, and the loyal and faithful ministry there with him(prior to his death in 1986), using taped sermons and messages.
Through this Jesus Christ has spiritually fed the scattered membership of the Worldwide Church of God.
The Church of God
In Ephesians 2:20-22, we read that the Church of God is "... built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an HOLY TEMPLE in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."( emphasis mine)
In Ephesians 4:11, we read FURTHER about Jesus Christ and the Church of God..." And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
We read In 1 Corinthians 12:28, "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. "
WHY?
"For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
"Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
" That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
"But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
"From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love."(Ephesians 4:12-16)
We, the membership of the Worldwide Church of God, believe we are being FITLY FRAMED TOGETHER, BUILT TOGETHER, GROWING TOGETHER by Jesus Christ in heaven, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God.
We believe that all members of the spiritual body of Christ, follow the HEAD which is Jesus Christ, and are complimentary to each other. NEVER IN COMPETITION.
FIRST, the work Jesus Christ accomplished through His apostle Mr. Herbert W Armstrong, is VITAL for every member of the spiritual body of Jesus Christ. All other works being done through the ministry OUGHT TO BE DONE IN COOPERATION, and SUBJECT to the PRIMARY work done through the apostle, which we believe is still at work. If there are any differences,or changes in doctrines and teachings, that man has "departed from the way of the Lord"(see Malachi 2:8) and walks in darkness and not with Jesus Christ.
For the apostle Paul commanded, "O Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye ALL SPEAK THE SAME THING, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."(1 Corinthians 1:10)
We , the Worldwide Church of God, believe the Word of God, which declares THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY DIVISIONS. And so we warn our brethren, of departures in truth, in doctrine and teaching, that ESTABLISHES a division, or "another church organization" or split away from Christ.
We found some attending with us in the late 1980's, and 1990's not believing God's Word. They brought in teachings and doctrines, from outside of the Church, and started programs to indoctrinate the congregations of the Worldwide Church of God.
They then took Church funds, property, and assets, to establish another church division that was closer to their liking. They used the name of the Church, until all opposition was seemingly destroyed. Then they changed their name, calling themselves "Grace Communion International". She became a mother to other church "divisions", or splinters.

Other groups, following their mother, left in protest as her daughters. all agreeing that the idea of "divisions" was a good thing. They all agreed, to get away from the Worldwide Church of God as much as they could. Some wanted to carry more beliefs than others.
But the idea of "another church", or a "division" is a HERESY, if you would believe the Word of God.
It is a teaching of MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, the mother of harlots. They simply SEEK to UNITE the DIVISIONS and bring her daughters back to their roots.
The Worldwide Church of God, was a church they could NOT bring under the mother Church in Rome. Because we are not her children, but the succession of the original Jerusalem Church founded by Jesus Christ on Pentecost 31 A.D.
And through the Zerubbabel(Zechariah and Haggai)type WORK that was started through Herbert W Armstrong(the apostle of the Lord), our membership has been organized spiritually, in this Philadelphia era/stage of the Church(Rev. 3:7-13),fitly framed together, into a TEMPLE STRUCTURE, which is being spiritually prepared today to accomplish its TEMPLE DUTIES when Jesus Christ returns.
This is the Philadelphia Candlestick. (Rev. 1:20; Zech. 4) A STAGE or ERA of the Church of God.
So we, the Worldwide Church of God, are being organized and framed together spiritually, as the Temple of God, which Jesus Christ will return to(Mal. 3).
The ministry, has a part in supporting Mr. Armstrong, and this spiritual work. And so we gladly embrace all good teachings, and those men teaching the truth wherever they are located. But we warn against heresy, and sin as we have been shown by Jesus Christ. We want to emphasize a better way, and for our people to embrace all of God's Truth, even the parts they haven't yet known about.
I know, personally, I grew up in the Worldwide Church of God, and I am CONSTANTLY LEARNING new truths and understanding, the more i stay in tune with Mr. Armstrong and go back and listen to the servant of God! So I'd like to encourage my brethren, to go back and listen, and be inspired!
Jesus Christ is bringing us together, and we ought to be speaking the same thing!
The Worldwide Church of God
The Church of God being organized together in modern times, spiritually from Heaven, was accomplished through one man named Herbert W Armstrong.
The "work" that was responsible for the restoration and organizing of the Church of God in the Philadelphia stage/era, is the work Jesus Christ accomplished through him!
This makes us the Worldwide Church of God by being the fruits of his labor,and the seal of his apostleship. We are not a corporation, or fictitious name, or trade name but we are who we are. The Church of God who came from all corners of the earth, to serve God as ONE BODY. We are the Worldwide Church of God, an unincorporated spiritual organism.
The Laodicean Attitude/Condition
Revelation 3:14-21, shows us a letter penned by Jesus Christ HIMSELF to the "Church of the Laodiceans".
Notice, unlike every other letter Jesus Christ wrote to the church of God prior, this was addressed to "the Church of The Laodiceans" not "The Church of God IN LAODICEA". Jesus does not call them a Church of God...but obviously desires them to return to the Church mentioned in verse 7.He calls on them to REPENT.
Now, in Revelation 3:10, the Church of God IN THE PHILADELPHIA STAGE/ERA, receives a promise of divine protection from the Great Tribulation(Matthew 24:21), which we see being fulfilled in with more detail, in Revelation 12:14-17.
The "REMNANT" of the Worldwide Church of God, is the Laodicean Church. They are not going to receive that promise of protection, because they are SEPARATED from the Worldwide Church of God. Revelation 3:14-21 is Christ's letter to them, warning them to repent and to be grafted back into the vine, back in with the Philadelphia candlestick!
DIVISIONS, inspired by Satan the Devil, are the ideas that TRAP our Laodicean brethren into OTHER GROUPS, thinking the Worldwide Church of God is dead.
So there are members of this Worldwide Church of God attending with false churches, structures that are meant to HARM THIS CHURCH. We read a prophecy about this in Zechariah 2.
" Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the Lord: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the Lord.(Jeremiah 24, the good figs)
"Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.
"For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
"For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me.
"Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord.
"And many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto thee.(verses 6-11)
After coming out from these daughters of Babylon, the result is a WORLDWIDE conglomeration of the Church of God, a return to being the Worldwide Church of God!
We see Jesus Christ saying the same thing in Revelation 18:4
" And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. "
All Christianity is returning to the Mother Church at Rome. They attempted to bring the Worldwide Church of God as if we were one of her daughters, but we are not. We are only those who seek to serve and obey God. We are called by God. We have been added to this Church by God, through Jesus Christ. And through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, we continue as the Worldwide Church of God.

We are the members of the Church of God, known in our day as the Worldwide Church of God. This Church is unique in practicing Christianity as A WAY OF LIFE, as well as a faith - even as it did originally in the days of the first-century apostles.

OUR MISSION
Most prophecy in the Bible refers to our time now, and is concerned with our time—not with the time back in the First Century, not in the Middle Ages. How many times do you find in the Bible "in that day"? Such-and-such will happen "in that day." "In that day" again and again, especially in the Old Testament prophesies. And it is referring to the time now and leading on into the Second Coming of Christ—the Coming of Christ the Messiah, and these events and these days just preceding—when there is the greatest mission of the true Church of God. And that is the mission that has devolved down on us. Today's mission of the Church you will find in Matthew 24 and in verse 14: "And this gospel of the kingdom [that is the same gospel that Jesus preached] shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations and then shall the end come."
"Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."(Mark 1:14-15)
This same gospel is preached by Herbert W. Armstrong and the Worldwide Church of God to millions of people around the globe, fulfilling the prophecy given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 24:14.
